About the Destination
What is Cameron Highlands?
A highland retreat 200 km north of Kuala Lumpur, sitting at 1,500 metres above sea level in the Titiwangsa Range — where rolling tea plantations, strawberry farms, flower gardens, and cool mountain air make it one of Malaysia's most beloved escapes from the tropical heat. 8 things to do in Cameron Highlands
From panoramic tea plantations to flower parks and honey bee farms — each attraction is independently verified with accurate hours and pricing.
Cameron Valley Tea House
Cameron Valley Tea House is operated by the Bharat Group across three tea houses set within the Bharat Tea Estate in Ringlet. Tea House 1 is closer to the plantation floor and offers buggy rides into the valley; Tea House 2 has elevated panoramic views and is more accessible. A small walking fee of RM 3 applies to access the plantation trails at Tea House 1.
Agro Market
Kea Farm Market is a roadside farmers' market located 3 km north of Brinchang — the most visited local market in Cameron Highlands. Open daily from morning to evening, it brings together vendors selling freshly harvested highland produce including strawberries, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes, leafy vegetables, and cut flowers, alongside cooked food stalls, souvenirs, and packaged local products. Early mornings offer the freshest produce; late afternoon visits sometimes yield bargain prices on perishables.
Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm
Established in 1980, Ee Feng Gu is the oldest honey bee farm in Cameron Highlands, set within a landscaped hillside garden with koi ponds and beehive boxes. Visitors can explore the garden freely, observe the bee colonies, and walk through the farm's indoor bee maze. Honey products — including pure honey, propolis, royal jelly, and bee pollen — are available at the on-site gift shop, with a complimentary honey drink offered to all visitors.
Cactus Point
Cactus Point is one of Cameron Highlands' largest plant nurseries, displaying a wide variety of cacti, succulents, ornamental plants, and tropical flowers across open-air and sheltered spaces — all available for purchase. Miniature cacti and succulents are popular souvenirs, and an on-site café makes it a relaxed browse-and-refresh stop. Note: Cactus Point and Cactus Valley are two different sites — Cactus Point is free and located along the main road.
Raju's Hill Strawberry Farm
Raju's Hill Strawberry Farm is perched on a hilltop in the Kea Farm area, where visitors can walk through the strawberry fields, pick their own fruit when in season, and browse the gift shop for strawberry-based products. The on-site café is well known for its strawberry desserts — tarts, ice cream, milkshakes, and chocolate-dipped strawberries. Strawberries are most abundant for picking from December to February; the farm is open year-round regardless of season.
Flora Park Cameron Highlands
Cameron Highlands Flora Park is one of the largest flower parks in Cameron Highlands, featuring over one million flowers across expansive indoor and outdoor garden sections. Accessible only via complimentary jeep pickup from the Kea Farm car park, the park features themed flower gardens, a Hobbit House, the Stairway to Infinity, multiple café stops, and panoramic highland views from the hilltop. Children under 12 enter free.
The Sheep Sanctuary
The Sheep Sanctuary is a petting farm within the Kea Farm Market area, home to sheep and alpacas kept in open wooden pens where visitors can hand-feed and interact with the animals directly. Entry includes a box of feed shared among a small group, and it pairs naturally with a visit to Kea Farm Market next door.
Kea Farm
Kea Farm is the agricultural district at the northern end of Brinchang, centred around the Kea Farm Market and surrounded by farms, nurseries, and attractions including Flora Park, The Sheep Sanctuary, Raju's Hill Strawberry Farm, and Cactus Point. It is the natural hub for a full morning of Cameron Highlands exploration — combining fresh produce shopping, street food, souvenir stalls, and farm visits in one walkable cluster.

Frequently Asked Questions
Accurate answers for international tourists and corporate travellers planning a Cameron Highlands trip.
Is Cameron Highlands cold? What should I wear?
Cameron Highlands maintains a cool climate year-round, typically between 15–25°C during the day and cooler at night. A light jacket or cardigan is recommended, especially for evenings and early mornings. Rain showers are common throughout the year — a compact umbrella or light rain jacket is practical to have on hand.
Is Cameron Highlands a day trip or should I stay overnight?
Both are popular options. As a day trip from KL (approximately 3 hours each way), an early 7 am departure gives you a full day across the key attractions before returning in the evening. If you want to experience the highland mornings, visit the tea plantation at golden hour, or explore at a relaxed pace, an overnight stay is worthwhile. Message MBC and we’ll help you decide based on your itinerary.
When is the best time to pick strawberries in Cameron Highlands?
Strawberries grow year-round in Cameron Highlands due to the cool climate, but they are most abundant and sweetest from December to February. All farms including Raju’s Hill are open year-round, so strawberry products and purchases are always available even outside peak picking season.
Do I need to book Flora Park in advance?
Walk-in tickets are available at the entrance, but advance booking is recommended during weekends and school holidays as the park operates a jeep shuttle system from Kea Farm and capacity can be limited during peak periods. Entry is RM 50 per adult; children under 12 enter free.
Can I get around Cameron Highlands without a car?
Cameron Highlands’ attractions are spread across several kilometres of highland roads and not easily walkable between sites. A private car, car rental, or guided day trip is the most practical way to visit. Local taxis and Grab are available but can be unreliable during peak periods, especially for the more rural attractions like Cameron Valley Tea House and Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm.
How do I plan the best Cameron Highlands itinerary for my group?
The right combination depends on your group’s interests and pace — some prefer tea plantation and nature, others the farms and market cluster around Kea Farm. Message MBC directly and we’ll put together the right itinerary for you.
