Attractions in Genting Highland

From adrenaline-fuelled theme parks to sacred hilltop temples — each attraction is independently verified with accurate hours and pricing.

Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park

Malaysia's flagship outdoor theme park sits at the summit of Genting Highlands, featuring nine uniquely themed worlds across 26 acres with 26 rides for all ages. Themed zones include Eagle Mountain, Central Park, and the Lake of Dreams fountain show. Hotel guests enjoy early entry from 9:30 am. Tickets are timed and dated — advance booking is strongly recommended as daily capacity is limited.

Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park

Located in First World Plaza at the resort peak, Skytropolis is one of Southeast Asia's largest indoor theme parks spanning 400,000 sq ft. It offers 20+ rides across three categories — Family, Adventure, and Thrill — making it fully weatherproof and suitable for all ages. The park is cashless (debit/credit cards, e-wallets, Genting Points). Most visitors spend 4–6 hours exploring all zones. Extended hours apply during school and public holidays.

Genting Casino

Resorts World Genting operates Malaysia's only legal casino — a distinction it has held since 1971. The Sky Casino (Gold Club) at Level 3, SkyAvenue offers table games, electronic table games, and slot machines in an elegant environment, open to Genting Rewards Gold and above members 24 hours a day. The casino is open to non-Muslim visitors only. Dress code applies. Valid photo ID required. Smart casual attire recommended.

Awana SkyWay

The Awana SkyWay connects Awana SkyCentral (mid-hill) to SkyAvenue (the peak) via a 2.4 km gondola ride over lush Titiwangsa rainforest. The journey takes 10 minutes and includes a free optional stop at Chin Swee Station — where visitors can disembark to explore Chin Swee Caves Temple at no extra cost, then re-board with the same ticket. Standard gondolas seat 10; glass-floor gondolas seat 6 with views directly below. Children under 90 cm ride free.

Chin Swee Caves Temple

Built in 1994 by Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, Chin Swee Caves Temple is a Taoist sanctuary dedicated to Reverend Chin Swee — a 9th-century Chinese monk believed to summon rain and ward off evil. Perched at 4,600 ft on a 28-acre forested plot, it features a 9-storey pagoda, a towering Guan Yin statue, the Chambers of Hell, and panoramic highland views. Accessible via the Awana SkyWay with a free stop at Chin Swee Station. Modest dress required.

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets

Southeast Asia's second Premium Outlet Center and the world's first hilltop Premium Outlet Center, Genting Highlands Premium Outlets offers more than 150 designer and premium brands — including Coach, Burberry, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Adidas, Fossil, and Bonia — with daily savings of up to 65%. Set in an open-air street layout adjacent to Awana SkyCentral, the cool highland climate makes for a uniquely comfortable shopping experience rarely matched in Southeast Asia.

Japanese Village

Nestled within the Berjaya Hills resort complex at Bukit Tinggi, the Japanese Village is a serene cultural attraction recreating authentic Japanese landscape design — with manicured gardens, koi ponds, stepping stone paths, bamboo groves, and traditional Japanese architecture. Visitors can experience a tea ceremony, explore botanical gardens, and enjoy one of the most peaceful highland escapes near KL. Located approximately 45 minutes from KL via the Karak Highway, included in the Berjaya Hills entrance ticket.

Colmar Tropicale

Opened in 2000 and inspired by the Alsatian town of Colmar in France, Colmar Tropicale is a medieval French-themed village built within the rainforest hills of Bukit Tinggi, approximately 45 minutes from KL. Colourful timber-framed townhouses, cobblestone courtyards, French-style restaurants, and street performances create a convincingly European atmosphere — all wrapped in cool highland air and surrounded by lush tropical forest. The entrance ticket covers Colmar Tropicale, the Japanese Village, and Rabbit Park.
